Teens Lab Summer Special: Japanese Arts and Crafts, 17-21 July

Unravelling the Knot: Illuminated Knots (12 - 14 year-olds)


Learn to draw and tie a range of Celtic and Japanese knots with Maker-in-Residence Corinne Okada Takara. In this introductory workshop, participants will discover the importance and symbolism of knot traditions in Japanese and Irish culture. You will then create intricate knot drawings on grid paper and make your own light-up Japanese knot necklace or keychain. Limited to 15 teens per session. Free, booking essential.


Cancellation Policy:
 Please be aware that we require a minimum of 72 hours’ notice of a cancellation if possible. These workshops take time and resources to prepare and we always have an extensive waiting list for each workshop. Therefore if you cannot attend and we do not hear from you we may be unable to reserve a place for your child in future workshops.

Workshop Guidelines:
Small amendments may be made to the workshop due to unforeseen circumstances and we would appreciate your understanding.
