Haiku for Everybody – Saturday 11 March
Meet Eriko Tsugawa who will give you a history of haiku, a short three-lined poem. We will explore haiku masters and amateurs alike and you will then compose your own haiku. You will also experience Japanese calligraphy using traditional inks and brushes. Limited to 15 participants per session. FREE, booking essential.

Introduction to Middle Eastern Food – Tuesday 11 April
Join Abraham Phelan (Silk Road Café) for an introduction into the fascinating world of Middle Eastern ingredients. Learn all about spices and herbs such as sumac, and where chickpeas come from. Also, find out what is the most expensive spice in the world! You will then be shown how to make falafel and hummus. Limited to 15 participants aged 12 – 14 years per session. All Things Kofta – Wednesday 12 April
Join Abraham Phelan (Silk Road Café) for an introduction on all things kofta (savoury meat, cheese or vegetarian pieces). You will work with your own private chef and learn different ways of creating dishes using the basic kofta recipe, including kofta pil tahini. Not to be missed!
