Light, Shadow and Shade Workshop

'In art there is no need for colour. Give me a crayon and I will 'paint' your portrait'

Francisco Goya

In his series of prints, Disasters of War, Goya abandons colour believing that light, shade and shadow provide for a more direct expression of the truth.  Join us to create your own artistic responses to the exhibition, exploring techniques like Chiaroscuro (light and dark), linear hatching and crosshatching to achieve dramatic black and white effects in your images. Limited to 15 places. €35.00 per person, materials provided. Booking essential.
