Private patrons provide vital support for the Library's core activities such as conservation, education, exhibitions, research and publications. This support enables us to continue expanding our award-winning programmes and exhibitions. As a patron, you can choose to support a specific area or project, or you can make an unrestricted donation, which will be used to meet our most urgent needs.
As the Library is a registered charity, patrons receive tax relief at their highest rate of tax. There is no maximum qualifying donation, and donations made by instalment also qualify for tax relief. For more information, please see Ways of Giving.
We acknowledge the support of different patrons in different ways, depending on both the level of the donation and the individual patron's preference. If a patron chooses to remain anonymous, we are happy to honour this. However, we do like to publicise major gifts where possible, as such announcements often encourage others to lend their support. Patrons may be acknowledged through:
- naming opportunities (major gifts only) such as a named room or programme;
- named fellowships and internships;
- listing on a donor board in the foyer of the museum;
- acknowledgement in publications;
- invitations to private events and openings.
We are very grateful to all our patrons for their support. If you would like to hear more about the possibilities for supporting the Chester Beatty Library, please contact Lucy Durack, Head of Development by phone: (+353 1) 407 0762 or email: firstname.lastname@example.org
