Volunteering

Would you like to learn about different cultures and religions from around the world, meet new people, get involved with the community and learn new skills?

As part of our dedicated team you will provide valuable support to the programmes and services of the Chester Beatty Library. You will help us to achieve our mission to promote the great resources of the library, to enhance the experiences of visitors and the local community alike and to promote a wider appreciation of the many cultures represented in the collections. Become involved and enjoy the many benefits of volunteering for the Chester Beatty Library including:

  • continuous education sessions providing a broad knowledge of the library;
  • specialised training in specific areas of assignment, to help you develop new skills and experience;
  • the opportunity to meet new people and make a difference to your community.

Library volunteers receive a 10 per cent discount at the library shop and restaurant, volunteer hours are flexible and a variety of different opportunities are available.
