Education Services

We offer a wide variety of programmes designed to foster better understanding of our European, Middle Eastern, Asian and East Asian collections.

Included are activities for all age groups such as: 

- Tiny Fingers, Little Toes workshops for pre-schoolers and their parents
- Silk Worm Club workshops for children aged 6 - 11 years
- Chester Beatty's Creative Lab for Teens aged 12 - 17 years
- Art & Crafts workshops for adults
- Film screenings
- Lunchtime talks
- Tours in Arabic, Mandarin and Japanese - the first of its kind in an Irish museum

- Drop in Drawing
- Music events
- Adult and teen drawing packs
- Drawing activities for adults and children
- Free guided tours on Wednesdays at 1pm, Saturdays at 2pm and Sundays at 3pm

The Library is a coordinator in a three-year funded project and working with partners exploring how museums can co-curate and collaborate with local makers, crafters, engineers, scientists, artist, digital media and more. Click here for more details
